The Wild are just bad right now - if Vancouver or Calgary weren’t terrible they could take their spot.
I know getting Kirill and JEE back will help but they are a 4-5 game playoff exit. Gustafson can only do so much.

I do love how the Blues punked Edmonton with Holloway Broberg. Even without injuries Oilers are not what they were last year.

Interested to see what happens today in St Louis - obviously Blues are hottest team in league and will be dangerous in playoffs but they’ve had a million lucky bounces during the streak and beaten bad teams. Only good team they beat was Colorado.

Panthers drop one to Ottawa, 3-0. This team is playing like absolute arse right now.

Make it 12 in a row. 3 wins in 4 tries to the Avalanche.

They still racked up wins over the Avalanche, Capitals, and Kings (twice) not long before the winning streak.

Wild Card races shaping up - would take an epic collapse for Montreal to not get the WC2 now; Ottawa is threatening for Atlantic 3 with Florida's collapse

Wouldn't that be hilarious if Toronto finally wins the division to get Florida in the first round haha - although Florida is in trouble if they can't get healthy

West is all but settled besides WC1 and 2. If Colorado gets 1 more point they lock into 3rd seed. Winnipeg looking good to win division (needs 4 more points with no Dallas losses) but still possible for Dallas to take it.

Dallas-Colorado, Carolina-NJ, LA-Edmonton are basically locks
Vegas-Blues and Winnipeg-Minnesota seem likely

Stars shockingly blow a 5-2 lead the last minute of regulation. And then lose in OT.

Landeskog officially on a conditioning reassignment to the Eagles.

It's happening.... isn't it?

Sure seems like it's happening - never would have thunk it

Eric Johnson said last week in pregame interview "it's not if, but when"

I wonder what he will look like
Just imagine the home crowd in Game 3 vs Dallas if he comes back

I think the good news is that with a guy like Landy, at worst, he's likely a fourth liner and can replace the Vesey's and Wood's of the world. Probably get very similar production with the same grit. At best, we get some spurts of what he used to be and shockingly high TOI similar to EJ since his return (and I never though EJ would be around 15+ mins a game).

And regardless, I think this is the most important part. His return undoubtedly would bring a spark to the team, and potentially also screw with Mikko's head a little bit.

That was never the plan, unfortunately Glass Manson has made EJ a necessity

Stars getting blown out by the Jets. A Jets win should wrap up the division.

Anyone watching the Frozen 4? Western Michigan won in 2OT. And Boston leads Penn St in the 2nd period.

Yep, now that Denver is out I want Western Michigan to win it all - it's good story.

The end of the regular season is going to be kind of boring. The Senators, Canadiens, and Blues ensured that by just straight up winning games. Bring on the playoffs.

Basically a do or die for Calgary tonight.

Then again, the other night against Anaheim was also do or die and we gave up 2 goals in the last 3 min to tie and then lost in OT.

Calgary wins again

Unlikely, but if either Minnesota or St Louis lose their last game in regulation they will not control their own destiny.
