this is an example of how pathetic the current nfl is. calls like that that extend drives are just pathetic in every extent of the word…it’s horrible officiating, horrible to watch, has nothing to do with the game or the play but it’s just an accepted part of the NFL product
add some common sense to these rules and teach the refs to hold the flag except for egregious flags that obviously and directly affect the play. all the players want to play football

nah, the sport is just extremely over officiated. it started with “player safety” but it’s extended so far beyond that
you can’t even cheer for plays as a fan without a delay
