The Republicans who fought to end slavery were Northern states governments and politicians.

The Democrats who fought against it were Southern state governments and politicians.

Everyone knows the real history of when the Southern Democrats (Dixicrats) took over the Republican party and the Republicans then switched over the the Democratic party.

I don't even know why people use such weak talking points.

I never heard of it until last year when a guy at work from Texas told me about it. He said its huge in Texas. I have no problem with it.
