I'm taking a small risk and going with Tampa this week. St Louis sucks.

going against the 49ers, a team that has made how many NFCG's in a row?

come on, PJ...san fran could have been playing any team and it's a bad pick...why would anyone pick against one of the top teams in the league?

They have had injuries and suspensions on D. Plus they looked like shite in the preseason on offense.

Same. Now or never for the Bucs with the mess at QB for the Rams.

It's the preseason. Detroit went 4-0 in the preseason before they went 0-16. Again, SF was and is projected to be one of the top teams in the league this year yet people picked against them in the first week. What is this, amateur hour?

Also, Dallas was one of the worst teams in the preseason if you want to use that as your argument.

Now that I think about it, what's the best way for me to do this? Make this the season long thread, or make a new thread each week?

This

Someone did this last year, and I always liked looking at the breakdown.

Okay, sounds good. What I'll probably do is link to past results in the OP of future threads, so you can see the breakdown throughout the season.

I don't know if I'd want anything to do with that game.

should be a low scoring game so anybody could win it.

Josh McCown looked like a circus act out there for most of the game against Carolina last week.

In principle, no one should go out this week, because it seems like there are a bunch of lay-ups, but I'm kind of amazed at some of the picks people made last week.

You can only pick teams once, so if you only go with heavy favorites, you can run out of options later on. You have to take some risks at some point.

Wow. If Jacksonville had hung on, Week 1 would have been a Survivor slaughterhouse.

I understand that way of thinking, and to each their own. But I feel like it's best to take the sure thing and worry about later when the time comes if you happen to make it that far. I'm taking New England this week, and if I happen to make it, New Orleans next week. Give me the "no doubters" (although Philly had me sweating last week).

I fully expect to be eliminated this week, but thanks for taking ownership of the weekly thread.
