It would be cool if the NFL and EPL struck a deal that NYC gets an EPL franchise
While it would be incredible, this will never happen. There are 2 teams from Scotland that have tried to get out of their league and into the EPL for years and they are given a resounding no every time they do because they aren't English.

It doesn't work that way overseas. You're not granted franchises. You have to play your way into the Premier League by merit. I think if you're going to try to expand internationally, I'd look at Toronto or Mexico City first.

They say there is an NFL fan base in the UK that could support it. Yes there is a decent sized - and growing - fan base here but that fan base already has teams.
I've followed the falcons for the last 8 years, just because e.g. the Jags move to London I'm not suddenly going to change teams and then pay a couple of hundred to go watch a bore vs the Rams, then do the same the next week to watch them get blown out by the 49ers....not the best way to try to change aliances
To have any chance it would need to be a winning team, people wont go to watch them get blown out.
Kraft says he supports it, is he gonna move the pats? Didn't think so.

Im fine with it if the name of the league is changing to the World Football League
the National Football League is American teams, if they want to expand to the world then they better follow thru all the way

Nope, get a team in L.A. before sending one over seas. Even after that put one in Canada before over seas.

I say no, but perhaps give NFL Europe another go with 6-8 team league.

I can understand why they would want to do it. There is a huge. Market to tap.
But, the odds are just stacked against them. Globally, American football is a very minor sport. I just don't think they would have the support to make it work.
