Who remembers it?

It aired Sunday night games from 1990 to 1997. I had totally forgotten about this.

Uncle Verne on the call for a few of those years.

Had a solid theme and intro.

I remember watching the Cowboys beat the Vikings on TNT in 1995. 23-17 OT win with Emmitt Smith running in a game winning TD.

I remember the first game of the 1991 season when the Redskins killed the Lions 45-0. They later met in the NFL Championship game with similar results. The 1991 Redskins are the most underrated team in NFL history.

TNT had Sunday night games while ESPN was too busy airing MLB games during the 1st half of the NFL season

Once the MLB season ended... the Sunday night NFL games moved to ESPN

That all ended once the NFL's Sunday night package moved to NBC and ESPN got the Monday night package from its sister station ABC

I remember these telecasts, fondly!

The original intro theme was a real banger, too!

Was rare for the Saints to be on primetime games during the 90s, and when they were it was usually being fed to the 49ers and getting destroyed.

The 1995 STL ATL game at Busch was televised on TNT. Isaac Bruce had a game that night.

Any Raiders-Seahawks match-up was always fun on Sunday nights in prime time during that rivalry.
