And Keuchly (sp?) is beasting for us today!

So basically the Panthers have 1 good player on Offense, 1
good player on Defense, a couple of veterans held together by tape, & a combination of below average to mediocre players to fill in the gap?

Oh, don't let me forget about the 40 million dollar 40 year old running backs (exaggerated due to disgust & frustration)

Yeah. Just two good guys. Is there a problem?

Not sure if serious

There's no way Cam & Luke can carry this team to the post season. I mean who the freak is this TuTu dude? Why even get rid of Lagadu(sp?) if you're just going to draft his low-functioning cousin?

We're glad we have him playing in Charlotte but we aren't expecting him to carry us to the postseason. I would be great but we understand the Panthers play in one of the toughest divisions in the league and it might take a couple years to get where we want to be. We definitely aren't asking a rookie LB to carry us to the postseason. You sound really informed when you think those are the two best players.

I know the Carolina's defense was awful last year and that the most important players are all suffering from repetitive injuries which leaves a bunch of young players to fill in the gap.

The offense is good but they lack a clear number two receiver which is going to affect the run game no matter how many running backs you have.

Specials teams is also an issue and it includes a unstable Kicker situation. IMO Poor field position was an issue last year w/ the team being pinned deep. Especially as they were frequently on the fiel due to the defenses inability to get stops.

I'm not claiming to be an expert & wont be providing you with stats & graphs but I understand what's going on

We only lost 4 games by more than a touchdown last year. And one was by 10. I'm curious to see what you think their final record will be.

This is true. I think the short offseason and the new coaching staff contributed to the 2nd half breakdowns in close games. I don't expect that to be an issue this year

Until tonight, I really felt like defense & special teams were going to look completely different - now I'm not so sure. I think the NFC South is wide open right now & if the defense can at least be average they have could possibly grab a Wild Card spot?

I was impressed by Joe Adams. Maybe he can be the ST spark that's needed

Jimmy Clausen was sacked 5 times. Reminded me a lot of his rookie season.

I think Cam being a run threat compensates for some deficiencies.

However, IMO better line play would help with the run game for the actual running backs & thereby improve passing options

I didn't watch a lot of the Panthers last year. I mainly just caught them when they played the Saints. They ran pretty well on us in both games even though the second game wasn't even close. Didn't Carolina finish pretty high in rushing offense last year?

I see Joe Adams went Tennessee on the Texans, minus the TD.
