The NFL is looking into an ad for the Exxxotica Expo 2011 that features NFL players - Chicago Bears safety Major Wright, Kansas City Chiefs defensive backs Brandon Flowers and Eric Berry, Houston Texans defensive back Kareem Jackson and Oakland Raiders wide receiver/kick returner Jacoby Ford -- all in their team uniforms. NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said...
quote:

"The NFL office works on behalf of the clubs to protect their intellectual property rights in matters such as this"..."Our legal team is reviewing the ad,"..."In general, companies not affiliated with the NFL or its clubs may not depict a player in his uniform."
Hmm...I'm surprised DeShawn Stevenson wasn't in the ad.

What I get from this is:

A bunch of 1st year players that don't know the rules and are really bored. It is also evident that they are 21=22 year old males.

Just the young being dumb.

If I was in their shoes, with a possibility of no football in 2011, I would take any job I could make money off of.

Doesn't change the fact that the NFL owns the intellectual rights to their uniforms. Lockout or no lockout anytime an a NFL jersey, logo, whatever get shown in any ad the NFL has to approve it.
