I’d say this proves they don’t have trust in Tua long term. Most young promising QBs get their second contract in the works and don’t make that 5th year option.

Maybe so, after he shattered his hip after such a great college career I'm glad he's made some great money in the NFL.

Another indication the #Packers are moving forward with Jordan Love...

There was also this during Mark Murphy's interview:

Q: Is there a scenario where Aaron is still the starting QB of the Packers next season?

MURPHY: Yeah, I mean unless, if things don't work out the way we want them, yeah, we would. He is obviously a great player."

Of all places for #Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy to make those comments about Aaron Rodgers publicly, it happens at the WIAA High School Girl’s Basketball State Tournament.

Oh, Mark. ??

The Texans sign veteran WR Robert Woods to a two-year, $15.25 million deal with $10 million fully guaranteed, per @RapSheet.

Major draft shakeup Sources say the #Bears are trading the No. 1 overall pick to the #Panthers in exchange for big-time compensation including multiple 1st rounders. Chicago loads up and lands at No. 9, while Carolina can draft its QB of the future.
...
Terms:
The #Bears receive No. 9, a 2nd, a first in 2024, a 2nd in 2025 and DJ Moore. Carolina receives...The top pick.

They've still got $75m+ of cap space, only a handful of vets to extend, and their biggest needs match up with where the Draft/FA is deep this year. If Fields shits the bed they also have more than enough to go up for Caleb Williams next April.

The move back from #1 to #9 is substantial. The 2nd is #61, which might be a rotational player. Moore ends up being their big prize. He's a 20M a year receiver. They needed weapons. But how much would Moore be on his own? Would he fetch a 2nd?

They were asking for a 1 + another pick for Moore at the deadline. Carolina wanted to include their 2025 1st but Poles insisted on Moore. I believe he would've gone with Indy if it was going to be just picks. He's a $20m WR who is under contract for 3 more years on a sub-$16m/yr deal. Pick 61 is interesting as the CMC trade will now be linked to the QB they draft. (Much like the 49ers-Bears deal in 2017 that included a pick SF sent to NO... the pick used for Kamara.)

They have a lot of needs at positions of depth in this draft. They're still in an area where they can get an elite player. They may even trade down again. I've read a lot of speculation about them coveting Bijan and JSN.

Back to Moore... Between receivers and OL upgrades there are no more excuses for Fields. If they don't like what they see they have the draft capital needed to move up for Caleb Williams next year. This was a win for both teams but I understand the prevailing opinion that the Panthers got fleeced.

Update: The #Titans have been listening to trade offers for RB Derrick Henry, according to @AlbertBreer

They haven't been "actively shopping" him but they've been listening to offers from other teams about him.

From my understanding on #Jets & Aaron Rodgers: Everything that needs to be done is essentially done in regards to a trade. Sides have worked out what needs to be worked out.

So if Rodgers wants to be a Jet, he will be a Jet.

Broken record, but … just waiting on him to decide

Wouldn't be the first time the Jets picked up an aging Packer QB. Will it turn out better this time?

I thought for sure Rodgers was going to reunite with Davante Adams in Las Vegas but the Raiders are now looking at Jimmy Garappolo to reunite with Josh McDaniels.

Carolina just traded up with Chicago. Panthers now have the #1 pick.

I don't think OBJ is worth the grief he will inflict on team morale.

“One potential trade target I'm watching is Houston left tackle Laremy Tunsil. The #Texans have resisted trading him in recent years, but he has just one year and a nonguaranteed $18.5 million left on his contract and could be a target of the #Chiefs if they aren't able to bring back Orlando Brown Jr,” says @DanGrazianoESPN.

When free agency begins, the #Bucs are expected to target ex-#Rams QB Baker Mayfield as a potential starting QB option, per me and @MikeGarafolo. This could be competition for Kyle Trask, their former 2nd-round pick, who the team likes a lot. As TB plots life without Tom Brady…

Sources: The #Rams are in talks to trade All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey to the #Dolphins. A blockbuster.
