Kenny Phillips, he didn't jam him at the line of scrimmage heck he didn't do anything. The guy simply watched as Davis ran right past him. No help over the top at all, in fact a corner defending someone else had to come over to try and make the play.
Im baffled how they can't defend him, and even more baffled at how the 49ers aren't throwing to Davis nearly every pass attempt.

I thought the same thing. He literally looked scared to get near Davis. If it was reversed and that was Donte Witner then Davis would still be laying on the field.

Webster thought about breaking up the pass first then he thought about the tackle.
The Giants passing game has dominated this game, it's when they get into 3rd and short their offensive coordinator is losing this game for them.
They have such horrid play calls in short situations, that and not learning from the Saints mistakes in how to not defend Davis.

Other than 4 plays the Giants Defense has shut down the 49ers offense, sadly 2 of those plays were TD's to a unguarded Davis.
Giants are going to need to figure out how to convert their 3rd and short situations in order to get a TD if they hope to win this game.
