Look at how much screen space that’s taking up. If they’re hellbent on keeping the bottom line, they have plenty of room to trim it so there’s no so much dead space. Really would be nice if they went the Fox/CBS route and went with a clean feed with a minimal score bug.

i think nowadays they track viewership in smaller increments than ever... if not showing the score on screen can steal a few extra viewers i'm sure they'd be doing it

And half of the announcements on the bottom right of the screen are in highlighter yellow so I get tricked thinking there is a flag thrown. That new one sucks arse.

I liked the transparent score box that FOX used when they first got the NFL. And no annoying other graphics all over the field. I wish they would go back to that.

I also hate the pointless down and distance arrows on the field. It's annoying and distracting. The down and distance is already in the score box in the bottom corner.

I would bet on this being intentional since our eyes are now trained to look when we see yellow thinking it’s a flag.
