It’s not even close. All else aside, the big ten affiliation alone makes it more viable long term. Illinois also a solid recruiting state. Kansas is not.

So are a lot of states with perpetually terrible football programs

Um, yeah, you do leave kansas football for Illinois.
You say this generally despite a Kansas football coach never once in the history of the universe has left for Illinois.

Your offense manages to be even more boring than the state of Iowa and the “lulz ur coach will leeve 1 day” bullshite.
That’s amazing.

Kansas is legitimately one of the worst major conference football programs in the entire history of the sport. Right down there with Rutgers, Indiana, and Iowa State in historical bottom feeder status—very difficult place to sustain any kind of winning, which is a big reason they’ve never lost a coach. And now they’re in a tier 2 league.

Illinois is a football head coach paradise. If only Leipold saw the light as Kansas was beating the frick out of them last September. Oh mighty Iowa fan, show us the way!
The Big Ten west is a bigger joke than even the new Big 12. 2-11 in the conference championship game too.

Iowa has probably accomplished more in the Kirk Ferentz era than the entire kansas program has accomplished in the post WW2 era.

And to top it off, Kansas owns Iowa. Oof!

Imagine being so scared of Kansas you
bolt the series at the turn of the 20th century.
