New Coaches Poll

Ok, I usually don't spew about basketball polls because I consider them to be among the most worthless things in the world.
LSU is ranked 24th - not high enough.
Louisville got destroyed by Notre Dame, but holds steady at number 7.
Wake loses at unranked NC State, but holds steady at number 8.
LSU is ranked behind both Utah State and Butler, mid-majors that crashed to unexpected losses this week.
Then you look at some of the coaches that are voting in this thing. Half of these coaches lead horrible teams, and it makes me wonder what kind of mental state they are in to rank college basketball's best.
Can we finally get rid of these stupid things? All they are good for is to give people on the rant something to jump the gun about on Sunday when they think LSU got slighted again.

Not to mention Duke. 2 losses as the #5 team.. and they only dropped to #9? bullshite.

polls mean nothing in basketball. It's much more of a problem in football where they do matter and people have no idea what they're doing

Name one team LSU has beat in the top #25. I think we are deserving of where we are.

Much harder to get top25 wins when there are 350 teams compared to 119 in football, though.
Top25 polls are stupid in basketball. Better to "fix" the RPI, IMO
