At least USL won't ever have to worry about things like that, their ceiling being fourth-rate bowl games.

I can’t tell if the Aggie fanbase is that desperate for a marquee win post-Manziel, if they are just sick or losing to LSU as much as we lose to Bama, or if this is just a post-modern troll job about watching people melt online just like that pro-Trump guy who probably likes medium rare steak but goes on Twitter to pretend that burnt steak with ketchup is the best way to eat it just to “own the libs”.
Melt bitch

oh i agree it was bad last night. the one true questionable call was the fumble
The Greedy “pass interference” was worse
I’m glad he told that ref to frick off, only cost half a yard

You don’t believe that the fumble was the only questionable call, do you?

i think most of the other ones were just unfortunate and amplified given the timing
sometimes outlier events occur close to each other. grouping them together to form a narrative is called the Texas Sharpshooter's Fallacy
you ever play poker (or hell, blackjack or whatever game of chance) and somebody keeps hitting impossible victories over and over? same thing, we just call that "getting hot" or something similar

Drink it up. It's the truth.

I think it was a fumble but no body knows what a catch is anymore so that is a 50:50 we needed up on the arse end of.
The fumble was a complete failure of refereeing and managing the game. They reviewed something unrelated to outcome of the play and basically gave A&M a timeout so they wouldn’t have to clock the ball

Fair enough... I think the PI on greedy was the most blatantly BAD call, all of the other ones (besides the illegal formation) were close to 50/50 but they ALL went a&m’s way

i'm going to say something controversial here
but i think Aranda is overrated by our fanbase
he's a good/great DC, but i don't think we have any real data to show he's the best
and this statement has nothing to do with the OT stats from last night. it's more in response to seeing the overreactions (on both sides) in response to discussions about the D last night

oh i agree fully
but if they were spread out over the game nobody would care that much. since they were, unfortunately, grouped together, and SUPER UNFORTUNATELY were grouped together at crucial points at the end of the game, it seems a lot worse

I wouldn’t say he’s overrated. Aranda is good at making halftime adjustments and playing lights out D in the second half
Not sure why he starts out so slow

This is first year that I’ve felt he has had a good d-line and even then we were thin on the edges.
I would love to see what he can do with a great LSU d-line like 05/06 or 10

oh for sure but remember chavis ran a vanilla scheme in 2011 and it was one of the GOAT CFB Ds

I totally agree with you Slow. The problem is, a lot of people on here confuse calling someone overrated with saying they suck...see Derek Jeter, Troy Aikman, etc.
You cannot allow a team that you’ve dominated thoroughly in the second half to drive the length of the field in 1:23 with no timeouts. Not a reason to run the guy off but fair to point it out.

the thing about Aranda is that he's pretty genius at times with pressure packages
BUT
he doesn't use them that often and seems to prefer coverage instead
typically we're carved up in crucial situations b/c he doesn't use pressure (the thing he's best at )
