Probably not but NCAA probably doesn't want to set precedent and let every athlete who may or may not be a "nice guy" do something like this.
Though there are times when rules need to be broken. I get the whole "he knows what he signed up for" angle but at the same time we're in a situation where even the federal government is having to operate outside of the norm.

there are other ways for him to go about this.
I was just saying he didn’t seem like a guy that would pocket the money in this situation
