1. NCAA investigators are coming to South Florida this week to look into the recruiting of several high-school football stars and the methods of several colleges in doing so, according to a source. Among the schools whose recruits are in question: Ohio State, Louisiana State, Auburn and Tennessee.

Yes, rest easy, Miami, Florida and Florida State fans. This isn't about you. The schools involved have been successful for years in getting players out of South Florida, and enough red flags have been raised about money changing hands in the recruiting process to merit the investigation, the source said.

I guarantee those frickers at Clemson are cheating. There's no way they're pulling these blue chip recruits out of Florida without cheating.

(Perez also told the Herald Shapiro is "upset with UM" because "they took a negative position toward him for no reason" and "his contributions [to the program] were demonized.") This is a sketchy, dishonest character with strong incentive to lie for his personal benefit.

lol no sh!t they "took a negative position toward him".....because once they saw that he was a bad apple, they told him to get lost. UM did a good job getting away from this bum. They didn't know he was a criminal, but when they saw something fishy, they took action.

Miami cleaned up its act big time after 2006. They had a few get in trouble last year but those guys aren't with the team anymore.

The 86-94 Canes were bad.

Maybe this is the football investigation which was supposed to be a "10" on the magnitude scale that has been rumored for months.

Money changing hands at Miami isn't a surprise.

What could make this a "10" could be the amounts paid, the number of players getting a taste, or the administration's knowledge of exactly what was going on.

And since that fat arse Miami AD Paul Dee was the head on the COI during SC's investigation, I think it's only fair that Mike Garrett should be in charge of Miami's investigation.

How Dee got to be the head of that committee I will never know.
