Celts at Bucks, but we all know why we're here.

James Harden is disrespecting the unwritten rules of the game

quote:

James Harden is that dude at the gym who ruins the game with too many suspect calls.

quote:

I can hear the Houston fans already: Comparing the Rockets-Warriors series to a YMCA game is like putting Beyoncé in a talent show. Harden is in a different universe from us mere mortals and is therefore subject to a different calculus. Which is true.

quote:

Hoop World hates it when that dude, who’s already a tough cover, starts calling ticky-tack touches every time you come near him. Or when she misses a clean look on game point, then calls foul after the ball clanks off the rim. Sometimes it really is a foul. But if you call too many, then nobody wants to give you any, and it sucks the fun out of a joyful experience.

quote:

The way Harden pleads for fouls on jump shots can feel like someone calling offensive fouls in a pickup game: technically allowed, he said, but weak sauce.
“Everybody pretty much understands that gray area,” he said. “I feel like James Harden is in the space where he abuses that, and people think he’s better than that. Like, you can’t be that good and get all these soft calls too. He’s the guy in the pickup game who doesn’t really get it — I’m calling my call even if it messes the game up.”

“People think he’s better than that

Played basketball in HS with a guy like this. He was already a good b-ball guy but when he was off, he’d call foul in everything. It was a foul if I didn’t give him a free layup. Got to a point I just didn’t play pick up with him.

Scott Foster officiating tonight.

In CP3's last 8 playoff games with Foster: 0-8
In Houston's last 6 playoff games with Foster: 0-6

James Harden has fouled out 4 times in the last 3 years, including playoffs. 3 of those 4 times were with Scott Foster officiating.

This is gonna be a shite show.

this couldn't have anything to do with the fact that they're just not that good, could it?

Uhh. You realize the Rockets were 11-5 in the playoffs last year, right?

0-6 is an absurd outlier.

time to see if alejandro and winston's bucks have any pride at all. i hope those fat arse white people in wisconsin can put down the cheese curds for 2 hours and generate some home court advantage

maybe force some turnovers. boston does it a lot
keep kyrie out of the paint
some bench productivity would be outstanding

It will be a damn miracle if we win this game, and I thought we were gonna win this series. If the league just wants to frick us in front of the world, not much we can do about it.

Bringing up Scott Foster for this game is an incredible frick You to the Rockets. It makes no strategic sense unless the strategy is to knock Houston down because you don't like that their front office calls you out for your bullshite.

Everyone get in line. Don't criticize the narrative, or Fuhrer Silver will make you pay.

I think Harden is going to go for 40+ tonight and Boom will take the biggest victory lap this board has ever seen.

Foster is the least liked ref in the league, but grades out as one of the best.

He also tossed Boogie this year while he was in street clothes.

The Warriors have no advantage with him there.

Harden is due for a great game. People act like he's straight garbage and only scores by getting fouled, but in our second to last matchup with the Warriors of the season, he went off and beat the officials and Warriors. Hit a buzzer beater over Klay and Draymond with no foul called after KD had the worst out of bounds missed call I've ever seen.

Harden should go off this game, for sure.

The Rockets should win this series, in all honesty.
