I like Millsap more than Horford in the short term playing the 4 w/ Howard, but he's probably opting out after next year, then who knows what happens. If we dump Millsap, then we can lock up Horford for the long term. Their ages also begin to come into play, so it's really a gamble either way.

It's tough, Millsap will be 32 when he opts out next year, you probably want Horford on his next contract more than Millsap. The more I think about it, if they can get assets for Millsap it might be the best route. But they'd be worse next year most likely.

AP Source: The Orlando Magic have agreed to terms on a 4-year deal with Bismack Biyombo.

Retweet be Stein.

There's gonna be some shot blocking in Orlando. That can be a fun team to watch if Hezonja develops more.

Is weird that Biyombo is gonna come off the bench though

He's not coming off of the bench.

Vogel is going to do work with a Biyombo/Ibaka front court.

Nate Duncan ?@NateDuncanNBA Orlando has ~$16 mm in cap space left. Assuming they start Biyombo there, max raises, that's about 4/$68

And they're going to bring Vucevic off the bench? Dumb.

He's either coming off of the bench or getting traded.

Why is it dumb to bring him off of the bench?

Because he is a much better player than Biyombo and fits well with Ibaka up front. You have 1 scoring threat in that starting lineup. Payton, Green, Biyombo and Ibaka make for a team that will average 92 points a game.

...because he is a consistent threat for 20/10 and better than Biyombo?

I'd imagine so...not a lot of minutes to go around in that frontcourt if he remains on the roster.

There options on a trade partner would be limited I'd think.

Also, you have to think Ibaka is one and done there
