I dont know...........if I am the Spurs.........the Lakers have NOTHING I would want for one of the best players in the league.
Turn to Boston or someone else.
Plus then...........you trade him to a team you will then be fighting with to make the playoffs?? No thank you.

Boston could blow any LA offer out of the water.

Probably not. But that tweet was stupid. Danny Ainge would be rolling on the ground if he read it.

f San Antonio walk away with both kuzma and Ingram... The league is so fricked.
For me, Kuzma is the most expendable asset the Lakers have. Not a great defender, really just a scorer, and his numbers look better from being on a bad team.
If the Lakers can pull off the Kawhi/PG/LeBron move, Kuzma's scoring is the last thing they need. They have plenty of scorers, they need D and depth. Kuzma is at best a 4th option in that and you don't need a scorer as your 4th option.

Spurs want to trade with Boston and are using the Lakers as leverage.
Spurs are leaking news favorable to the Lakers to entice Boston to give up more assets.
That’s what I think is going on here.

Because there is no guarantee Kyrie even stays beyond this year. I think Kyrie even listed SA as one of his preferred destinations last summer, so the Spurs could probably resign him.
Just Kyrie and Jaylen Brown blows out anything LA can offer.
I doubt Boston does anything because of Kawhi bolting after a year. And they wouldn’t want to lose the additional pieces beyond Kyrie (Jaylen Brown in my scenario).

They could, but why would they? If LeBron leaves, they walk into the finals, and you have to think Irving, Hayward, Brown, Tatum and Horford gives them a legit championship shot.
The Lakers need this trade, the Celtics don't really. If bidding gets going, the Celts have every incentive to drop out first.

its the other way around. they probably tried to move him to boston for brown or tatum. the celtics told them to frick off. now they are pushing the narrative that the lakers need kawhi to be the first domino in order to make lebron happen while also saying there is a market developing. its a game of chicken. i really believe kawhi is getting moved today or tomorrow. its going to come down who blinks first between the lakers and the spurs. just my opinion

Kahwi doesn't belong in tier 1.
Missed 73 games. Injury prone.
I'm.Celtics, I say,
Let magic have him his foot issues. and LeBron.

we went from the spurs not wanting to even talk to the lakers for a single second, to now they are heavily engaged in trade talks with them. whats more likely, the lakers have decided that they HAVE to get kawhi within the next few days or have the spurs figured out the market isnt really there for a rental coming off a lost season? both are possible. im not dismissing the former. i just think the latter is more likely. and that doesnt mean the lakers wont be the ones to blink
