Pistons- Isaiah, Dumars, Lambier, Rodman

Celtics- Bird, Parrish, McHale, Ainge

Lakers- Magic, Worthy, Jabbar

Bulls- Jordan, Pippen, Kerr, Grant

Mid 90s

Rockets- Olajuwan, Drexler, Maxwell

Jazz- Stockton, Malone

Spurs- Robinson, Johnson

Almost all of these teams won MULTIPLE NBA Titles and very few players changed teams to do it. Lord I miss these days! Now it is ok who can I go join to make a super team and win. Ludicrous

Basketball then was just better. No 82-79 scores at half. Not taking 5 steps without dribbling. No players saying they were not going to play for their team. They just balled the f out.

This is when I was watching the NBA..Shortly after this I stopped..
If I remember correctly the only one that was a diva was Rodman. The first time he came out on the court with the dyed hair was a WTF moment. The announcer's comment "if that is not a cry for help, I don't know what is". We all busted out laughing.

Oh, dear.

Of top-10 highest scoring games in NBA history, 6 are from the 80's or 1990

Oh look, another 'basketball was better when I was a kid because I haven't watched the game with anything more than Sportscenter highlights since the first Clinton Administration' take....

If those teams were allowed to play against the present day teams using the rules in effect in the late 80s/ early 90s, the teams of the 80s and 90s would win 80 percent of the time. They would hand check Curry all night and body check Lebron as soon as he crossed half court. The physicality of those teams can’t be compared to anything today Now, if they played by present day rules , the guys on the late 80s/ early 90s would foul out before half time.

Lol at a more physical brand of basketball not playing into the favor of the greatest physical specimen in NBA history.

Lebron would be even more dominant in the 80’s/90’s brand of basketball

The only thing keeping that from happening right now is KD joined a 73 win team.

Show me video of ball handlers(especially as good as Curry or as beastly as Lebron) getting abused by hand checking or being bodied at half court.

Lakers - Kobe and Shaq won multiple

Heat - Wade and Lebron won multiple

GS - Curry and KD and Klay and Draymond won multiple

Spurs - Duncan and Parker and Manu won multiple

Wow, that was easy.

We had league pass or whatever it was called back then and I’d watch every Jazz game (Stockton was my favorite player) and a lot of other games. Dad and I would go to Houston a couple of times a year to catch a Rockets game.

If I watch 5 NBA games a year now that’s plenty.

Shaq joined Kobe. Lebron joined Wade. Durant joined Curry. Plus Garnett and Allen joined Paul Pierce.

Magic once said that he would never have joined Bird. They respected each other but both were too big of competitors to team up.

They only player to do anything close to this is KD.

Magic and Bird were basically equals and were the faces of the league. Of course they didn't join each other. They also had many HOF teammates. Way to be bold and not join another team, Magic

What a brave and fearless competitor to not join Bird
