These teams are stupid.

I guess there should only be like 12 max guys in the league then?

Bosh is a max guy...

His production decline isn't because his skill level isn't what it used to be. It's a product of being the third option on this Heat team. He would become a 20/10 guy again on just about any other team.

You think Chris "The Floater" Bosh is worthy of a max deal?

I say 3 honestly.

Only three total franchise changing players right now.

However certain players maybe worth the max to their team.

At least the Heat in that situation would have some money to spend.

To a team that is ready to win? Yea, absolutely, he's one of the most skilled big men in the league and is underrated defensively because he doesn't block a ton of shots.

He's probably still is a 20/10 guy with excellent ratios across the board not having to play 3rd fiddle anymore. So if that's not a max player, it's close imo.

Players like Bosh that admit that they DO NOT want to be 'The Guy' are never worthy of a Max deal.

Bosh went from 0.6 3PA per game 3 years ago to 2.8 last year. We'll see how many he hoists up per game in the next couple of years with a Max deal.

One way to look at it I guess. But if the Heat actually started spending money after Lebron and Bosh leave they would be pretty dumb. Just offer Wade a good contract so they have at least one star and then suck for a few years to build up lottery picks and talent, then go after good free agents. Trying to go the middle road will just make them be sucky/average for years.

Right, most would be fine with Bosh at 15m, but once he gets 18 he's terrible. Bradley isn't worth 8, Meeks isn't worth almost 7 but you gotta pay a premium on the open market.

He didn't want to be The Guy when he was 26 and with Toronto. So, now that he is 30, he wants to be 'The Guy' on a championship level team?
