Parsons signing that sheet with Mavs also means Rox can't sign and trade him.

We don't know details though. What if they back load his deal and try and bring some others in.
In three years, might as well give him $20 mil since Dallas will either be coming off a championship or Dirk will retire and be in lottery status

After Lebron makes his announcement, you're going to see a lot of quick signings. Stephenson and Deng would look good in Dallas.
Honestly though I wouldn't be upset if we missed out on Bosh and replaced Chandler with Deng. We need a defensive wing.

I wish I was a billionaire so I could troll people by spending $45 million

I wouldn't mind if it's backloaded since Chandler won't be getting $10+ mil in his next deal like he's getting paid in his last year this season.
I just want Parsons and Stephenson, that's all. It may be greedy but it's my dream damn it

I'm not a Deng fan so I would be fine with that. Stephenson on the other hand...

Chris Bosh text to LeBron James 7/9/14: "Hey buddy, listen. Remember those big 3's I hit in 2013? I need a favor. Need an answer in 72 hrs

Third year of Parsons deal is a player option, per source.

No clear answer yet on Rockets matching sheet, but GM Morey had been on phone w/ agents for Ariza, Deng and Pierce today, sources tell Y.

The minute Parsons signs the offer sheet, the QO and the S&T go out the window. Thereafter, he joins either Dal or Hou for that amount.

(Unless all three agree to rip up the offer sheet. Which won't happen.)

So, if Houston loses BOTH Asik and Parsons...are they better next season with Bosh?
Posted on 7/9/14 at 6:20 pm to RTR America
Hopefully that means it's backloaded. Seems odd you could be signing a restricted free agent for potentially only two years
Posted on 7/9/14 at 6:20 pm to rt3
Bosh will make up for it by shooting 15 3's a game

Also note that if matched, Parsons (a) cannot be traded until Dec 15th, and (b) has to consent to any trade during the 2014/15 season.

Lebron needs to figure out where the hell he's going, this is boring as hell.

Yea but at the same time, its not like Chandler Parsons sucks or whatever. Sure, $15m a year is a bit overpaid, but someone would have given him a contract around that.
Plus, Dirk taking a discount allowed them to make a move like this. Dirk + Parsons only cost them $25m a year. I dont think thats really overpaying for those 2 guys when you think of it like that.
And I get that Dirk is getting up there age wise, but hes still an excellent player. He had a very good season last year and averaged 22ppg, 6rebs, and was damn close to having another 90/50/40 year in percentages. He was 89.9% / 49.7% / 39.8% this past year. And the way Dirk plays, age wont affect him as much as it does / will other players because Dirks game never really has been about athleticism.

How about this update from the Donald Sterling trial

So did attorneys not have a sit-down with him before the hearings and say "Just sit back and don't say anything"

I'm mildly surprised David Stern never put a hit out on him.
