Making a sarcastic comment regarding his terrible defensive game means I don't want him on the Cavs?

Outside of this past season the guy has been to the playoffs every season in his career.
And yet his style of play has not translated to championships. I'm not saying that teams shouldn't want him. It's just that he could scare a team whose offense relies on ball movement.

And this is the bar? Seriously? LeBron didn't win any championships either until he decided to become a part of a super team.

Because Melo couldn't adapt? Besides teams reliant on ball movement is a rarity in the NBA anyways.

I disagree about as whole-heartedly as one could.

He at least won a conference title.

I'm still waiting after watching him for 10 years.

I don't hate him, I just don't want him on the Lakers.
I'm not particularly fond of his game, but I wouldn't say he's not a star either.
Really it's just personal preference.

I don't strongly agree with either side of the Melo debate. The truth is somewhere in the middle.
There's no doubting his greatness as a scorer, and he makes any team he's on better. But his price tag is a significant factor, more than any other star. Is he worth the max to the Spurs? Absolutely not. His style of ball screws up what they do best, which is ball movement. Is he worth the max to say, the Bulls? Yeah I would think so.
I think to already established teams with scoring threats, adding a star like Melo becomes a diminishing returns type of situation if he's not a clear fit. It's even moreso with Melo seeing as he doesn't give you much defensively.

I'm with you on this. Then again I do think he would change his game to fit want Pop wants, but they don't need him on some sort of max deal.

And lately the trend in the NBA for winning championships has been an awesome offense and an average defense.

Cavs have had back and forth with LeBron's camp, more than what's been reported, I'm told. But source says he thinks LBJ leaning toward Heat
frick. Well that was fun while it lasted. Oh well. Wiggians is going to the GOAT. We dont need Lebrons bum arse.

Basically what I have felt even with all the smoke the past couple of days.
I think by the end of free agency we look up and not much has really changed around the league.

IMO, The fact that Cleveland is even in it, makes me believe that they have a better shot than we think. Lebron may be changing his mind every hour for all we know.
Cleveland is clearly not the better short term play. Long term, their upside is tremendous considering that they can add another significant piece next year.

It's just one source that "thinks". I wish I could just be a full-time source. Would be so fun.
