Ok, then you can't completely ignore the injuries/team differences in these Finals.

Now what?

I guarantee you if pippen would've went down and Jordan would've lost the finals they wouldn't be as forgiving and spouting off that it doesn't count against him

If pippen went down and the bull still lost despite MJ putting up historic numbers then no, I probably wouldn't hold it against him too much. Championships are never won or lost by one person.

So you're saying if KD had somehow willed that team to a championship last year that would not have helped his legacy and would not have shown how great he really is?
Good luck getting a reply with an answer!

In your opinion, was last years playoff run detrimental to KD's legacy as a player?
depends on what are we arguing his legacy is and who are we trying to compare it to

that's exactly what's going on in this thread

yes it would have, just like losing is held against him

you can't ignore one result because it suits you

So you are saying that KD's legacy took a hit last year because his team couldn't beat the championship spurs after limping in down their (second?) best player?

Huge MJ fan and can't stand when people call LJ the GOAT, but MJ had way more talented teammates than lebron has ever had. I would never choose any team LJ has brought to the finals over the bulls in the 90s

once again, what exactly is KD's legacy? I don't think anyone is trying to compare him to the GOATs or say he's anything more than he is. His legacy right now is a great player who isn't a champion. I don't think anyone is trying to argue he's some transcendent athlete.

if we are trying to argue KD belongs in the GOAT discussion, then absolutely his legacy took a hit.

You ever think that maybe Jordan made his team better?

If LeBron is such a GOAT, he should have no struggles making his team better, especially since he passes, rebounds, etc., right?

But yes, let's knock Mike for making his teams great while LeBron has to yet to figure that out with 3 losses in the finals

MJ made his teammates more talented. they learned from him and he taught them to be better players. LBJ is a selfish tool that does nothing to better those around him, as proved by how bad the team is when he leaves.
