Teams gonna be lining up to trade for Anthony Davis since every team he goes to gets the No. 1 pick

I like Sarr, he just had a terrible run of injuries this year. 2024 was just not a year to draft a guy to be the face of the franchise. Mostly fringe starters and bench-quality guys at best.

Sarr will end up being the best player from the draft. And at worst Sarr goes 2nd in the redraft every time. Sarr and Castle are the best players from that draft easily though. Sarr is going to be a problem. Wiz have some sick young talent. Easily a playoff team next season even without AD.

Indy is still in a good spot. They weren’t going to re-sign Mathurin for what he can get as a FA and they got their starting center who’s still in his prime. Picks 5-10 is gonna be guard heavy and im sure they had their eyes on Dybantsa and Wilson. Now they can use that top-4 pick money to enhance the bench or make another trade. Would have been nuts if they had landed AJ.

The Indiana Pacers ended the season with the league’s second-worst record at 19-63 — which gave them the best possible odds of getting a top-four pick — but they fell in the lottery to fifth. As a result of their trade-deadline deal with the LA Clippers to acquire center Ivica Zubac, the Pacers will have to convey the No. 5 pick to the Clippers.

What the hell were the pacers thinking?

Too be fair to them half their team got injured before the season started and Hali missed the year after tearing his Achilles last year.

They should still good next year, but it was a coin flip on wether or not they'd be top-4 (52% yes/48% no).

The bigger loser imo is Brooklyn and Sacramento who are out of the top5

Their President of basketball operations admitted he made a franchise altering decision because “they were due a little luck.” He should be fired tomorrow. They would be getting a hell of a player at 5.

I hear ya. And if Z was a consistent all-star and a real game changer, planning for next year would have made sense.

But the Pacers were already dead in the water for that season. His career numbers do not make sense to gamble on a potential lottery pick.

It was a desperate, dumb decision.
