They finally stop running single file and everyone wrecks...

I don’t think most of these drivers are very good at plate acing.

Raining again. JJ wrecked the field and will probably get the win in return.

McMurray or Jimmie start a lot of these big ones. Usually together it seems.

Incredibly dumb race. Doesn’t give me much confidence for the 500.

Johnson didn’t show much remorse in that interview.

He had to cause everyone to wreck. Only way he was going to win. SMH.

I was reading some articles today about the single file racing we saw in the Clash, and the big takeaway is how much side drafting contributes to the single file racing. In one article, Kurt Busch was talking about how the cars are so dependent on side force that running the top line is the safest thing to do, because the cars become unstable when side by side. In another article, Hamlin was saying that when they did try to get a low line going, once they got up to around tenth, the top line cars would just side draft them and that would push the low line back and ultimately break it up.

You think that’s the way he won seven championships by wrecking everyone.

No he won 7 championships when they came up with the chase concept and the tracks all favored him at the end of the year. Combine that with Knaus/Hendrick cheating and you have your answer. There are multiple drivers that could have done the same.

Whoever thought a February race in Atlanta is a good idea is a dumbass. Just as likely to be 39 and raining as decent.

But yet none of them did.
They were all on the same track so how did the tracks favor just him.
Cheating, they didn’t do anything the others weren’t doing.
He was the best at it back then, not so much now.
The torch has been passed. Doubt he’ll ever win number eight.
