Y'all are just pissed cause y'all are being proven wrong with every ticking second

I've lived in Louisiana my entire life. I couldn't point to Ruston on the map.

Your local radio station dropping ESPN proves what exactly?
Posted on 9/25/17 at 3:26 pm to StrongBackWeakMind
You could probably point to Monroe/West Monroe, where most of the listeners are based.

So they switched because their target audience was more in line with Clay Travis, not because ESPN is doing this shite.
A business decision that y'all are trying to say is standing up to ESPN

I mean, I know which corner of the state to point to. ETA: Just looked at the map... nope. I was wrong. I was thinking about Shreveport.

This is the same dude that got up in arms that a female and a black dude are scheduled to join Greenberg on ESPN Radio this fall. Not exactly working with a full deck.

That's the final nail in the coffin for ESPN.

I grew up in north Louisiana and there really isn't a town in the whole area that is relevant outside their city lines. This is a non story

I'm surprised they're dropping their affiliation under the guise of some political infiltration into sports, yet choosing the king of politics/sports mash-ups to fill the void.
Clay Travis is the anti-ESPN, but he's also ate up with political non-sense.

Ruston is basically the middle of the state on the top.

Good one. You got me.
So back to my question, your local radio station dropping ESPN proves what?

ESPN doesn't give a shite about Ruston, Louisiana. Call me when a station in a city that is relevant nationally decides to drop ESPN.
They don't care about Ruston indivudially, but they care if there is 100 or 500 or 1000 Rustons. Some of you people are so damn stupid.
ETA: I'm not even arguing that will happen, but you're retarded if you don't think there should be significant worry from ESPN. They'll never lose every subscriber that they have, but that's not what it's about. Radio Shack didn't lose every customer, but they had to declare bankruptcy and lost a ton of money. They have a tremendous amount of cost, and a lot of that is fixed. If they see a significant impact in their revenue (as low as 5-10%) it's going to have a real impact on their ability to pay the bills. It's really fricking hard to cut cost besides just firing everyone.

That political stances from ESPN hurts their bottom line. You can't say it doesn't. One radio station dropping them won't hurt much, but I'd be surprised if they're the only ones.

If ESPN loses $ bc people disagree with their politics they're still losing $ bc of politics, dumbass.

quote:Exactly. I've been saying it for almost a year now, people only want to hear information that confirms their own inherent bias.
Nah, I'm just skeptical of agenda-free programming having any real success.
People still want an agenda, they just want one with which they agree.
