OU gave up 38 points at the half versus USC, and it was supposed to be the "Game of the Century."

Yeah, because OSU wasn't the best team in 02, and only won a NC due to the BCS.

I might be wrong, but wasn't OU favored at some point?

ESPN is retarded.

USC-UT and Michigan-OSU were also billed as the games of the century.

Going into the series, the Lakers were the consensus favorites. LA rolled everyone in the West, while Boston went to 7 with everyone in the East.

OU and USC were both still being hyped from the year earlier, both were 14-0, both had Heisman winners playing. It was supposed to be the game of the century at the time.

Plus, Dallas is 9-5, Philly is 8-6-1. This isn't even a playoff game, so I don't see how it's more important than the national championship or an elimination game in the Finals between the league's two most historic franchises.

USC was 1 point favorite at kick, amazing it was that low. fwiw, OU is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 bowl games.

Hawks in game 7 against the Celtics last year was pretty bad. As was the Lakers in the last game of the Finals.

No, nor do I really get into or understand the whole betting aspect. I know most analysts and people who watched basketball considered LA the favorites. Getting handled like they did on a much bigger stage than this regular season game is more pathetic if you ask me.

For those with the Dolphs and Eagles, may I suggest Eagles over Dallas Part Deux..aka SD -7 game..-4 1st Half..or just watch LTU-NIU.

i don't know man, this isn't a normal regular season game. It's pretty much a playoff game for Dallas.

Also, that Boston team was great, and they are showing it again this year. Dallas was supposed to be a super bowl contender this year, and they are crashing and burning today in a spectacular way.

I seem to remember a lot of people still thinking the celtics would win, and pick up their game once they get to the finals....almost a feeling that they were looking past the perceived weak eastern opponents.
