The problem is the euro snobs won’t believe in metrics and will use biased emotion. MLS could objectively be up there with the European Big 5 and the euro snobs will tell us we aren’t seeing what we’re seeing

But it isn’t lol

People like you claim it’s a top ten league and it’s not even close

The metrics don’t say the MLS is up there
Could it happen? Yes. Anything could happen
But I doubt it will

I think MLS can definitely become a top 10 league

Which would mean we are developing good talent at home. But that’s another generation away

To claim it’s right after the euro big 5 is delusional

Yes, half the goal, double the assists in the same amount of games.

Involved in 13 goals in MLS, involved in 11 goals in the Championship.

We won't be taken seriously until one of our clubs actually does something in a FIFA Club WC, something we have qualified for all of two times and the last time was 2000.

The club World Cup isn’t really that big of a deal

It’s basically a shoe in trophy for who ever is the European champion

MLS needs to first worry about winning the CCL

Our new plan is to buy all of the LigaMX stars so we'll see if that one works

Ehhh.
Club WC isn’t that big of a deal considering it’s in the middle of more important seasons for Europe.

I mean MLS got embarrassed in that made up MLS/LigaMx tournament

Instead of buying Mexican stars we need to start scouting their young players near the border and get them in MLS academies

That’s the other random made up cup

I’m talking about the 8 team tournament when MLS got rolled, like really bad.

Eh, that whole thing is even more of a bullshite money grab than ICC. If I remember right (I may not), I'm pretty sure most teams played reserve teams.

I believe MLS omitted teams that qualified for CCL, Liga MX did not.

Also true. It was 4 LigaMX big dogs against 4 MLS teams that didn't make the playoffs the year before

Obviously, but after you win the CCL you go to the CWC and if you can manage to beat the ECL winner they will immediately begin to take it seriously again. Do it again and you'll gain some respect.

The LigaMX/MLS thing doesn't really matter anyway since the leagues will be merging soon.

That’s dumb

Especially since it was a summer tournament

Cruz Azul who won we’re not in the CCL last year

The only team that played in both was Tigres

The Galaxy were in it

3 of the 4 Mexican teams didn’t play in the CCL that year

On who's part? Both leagues should limit it to teams that did not qualify for CCL.
