Well, yeah...that's been talked about for the past few weeks.

They already need one bat. So this means they'll need two.

Where do you play Young? He's a terrible defender. Do you use him at DH? I don't think he is a good enough hitter to do that.

The Rangers are just going to try to grit it out. We will see what happens. August schedule is favorable:

Arizona (1)
@ Oak (3)
@ LAA (3)
@ Hou (4)
Mil (2)
Sea (3)
Hou (3)
@ White Sox (3)
@ Sea (3)
Twins (3)

So who would you rather have now... Young or Soriano? Still no to Sori?

I know they keep saying no Manny, but I don't see how you don't call him up

@jonmorosi: Rangers are willing to listen on "anyone," sources tell @Ken_Rosenthal and me. That includes Elvis Andrus. @FOXSports

Give him $100 million, watch him not hit, try to trade

Supposedly Rangers want a bat to replace Cruz once he gets suspended

Hell, we are almost in August and the MLB is more focused on A-Roid right now, so he may not even get suspended this year

Should have traded him in the offseason for Justin Upton

Jon Daniels is a smart guy, but I have no idea what he's doing right now.

Surprised Yankees haven't really been linked to anyone outside of Young and Soriano who they got.

No..no..no..

And I agree Andrus has sucked with the stick this year but he's on an 11 game hitting streak and his defense saves a ton of runs.

Honestly, I'd want neither. And most of it is for chemistry reasons.

Neither do I when you basically block your best prospect in a LONG time from starting at the two positions he is known to play.

He could have traded for Upton or tried to continue Miami's fire sale in the summer by sneaking in for Giancarlo then but just sat back and twiddled his thumbs with his 3 interior infielders

Maybe 1B since Mitch can't hit his way out of a paper bag?

Well considering the options are an injured Berkman, AJ whenever Soto is catching, or whoever among Beltre, Andrus, and Kinsler has the day off in the field, he can't be any worse.

It should be but there are several holes.

Oakland will probably be a sweep for the A's. I picked them to win the division at the start of the year and nothing has changed that. Seattle gives us problems too since we always run up on Iwakura and whoever not named King Felix is their hot pitcher of the month. And for some odd reason Texas has problems against AL Central teams and we have both the White Sox and the Twins.

He probably doesn't know what he's doing right now either. We were looking good and bam... started losing games and now we don't know whether to be buyers or sellers.

1) He's not going to show his hand. I don't believe anything I read about the Rangers and possible trades. The only reason I believed the Garza thing is because it's been well known they've been trying to get him for three years.

2) He's just exploring his options. He doesn't have to do anything right now. The team is sinking..and fast.

Sorry I just can't take you seriously. I don't believe you know what you're talking about.

Yeah..and A's sweep. How do you know that? It's possible the Rangers could win that series. Anything is possible. Regardless, once you get past the first four games of the month, they can make hay.

Not saying it's going to happen..but they have a good chance to gain ground given the A's rough August schedule.

How long does Mike Scioscia last? Ken Rosenthal just said that the Angels are trying to sell, shopping Aybar and Kendrick among others. Can't see the Angels keeping him around much longer.
