Yeah just a few seasons ago

Hey, Smoak has recently shown signs that he could become an average everyday player.

Phils gave a top form Lee to Seattle for J.C. Ramirez, Phillipe Aumont and OF Tyson Gilles.

Lee is already 34 though, and Bogaerts is basically a turned ankle away from being their everyday SS.

If Bogaerts was 19 and a ways off or something, maybe.

What do you mean? That depends on the franchise.

But at end of the day he is still a prospect and an unknown, the Red Sox have no idea if once promoted he will hit/field well enough to stay at MLB level. you know What Lee is going to give and at 34 is still pitching well with a horrible Phillies team.

Yeah, it's always a toss up.

By this point pretty good indications Bogarts will be a good everyday player, potentially a great one. That's what would make me hesitant.

Sounds like White Sox and Pirates are getting close on a deal for Alex Rios. Cash being worked on. Not sure if they can find a middle ground

Pirates will be strong with Rios.

Bud Norris, on the other hand

Yeah, that's a high price for Bud.

Rios should solidify their OF. They've had a hole in RF all year.

This looks to be the year they finally snap the sub .500 streak.

@Ken_Rosenthal: That last tweet should read, #Phillies’ Michael Young only WILL approve trade to #Rangers. Left out a word. Again: Full no-trade clause.

@TBrownYahoo: Red Sox feel a trade for Cliff Lee is highly unlikely. Peavy or Norris still in play.

So the only team that Young wants to go to is the team that forced him to move around the infield to accommodate other players, become a utility infielder when they ran out of spots to play him and then traded him when they had no more use for him?

Yeah, pretty bizarre. I thought he hated the front office so much that he would never play for the Rangers again. WTF.

Supposedly Rangers want a bat to replace Cruz once he gets suspended. They should just mail it in if that happens

Just saw that on MLB Network. Said they could use him in multiple roles, not just closer.
