Seems to be working for a lot of youngsters right now. A ton of kids and making the club out of spring

Both Xander Bogaerts and Rafael Devers said they had extension talks with the Red Sox in recent days, but barring a very unexpected development, neither expects an extension prior to Opening Day, and neither wants to discuss contracts in-season

While Red Sox officials declined comment on the talks, Chaim Bloom said that extending the duo was something the team would like to do and Sam Kennedy reiterated that the team views them as cornerstone players.

Manfred has set the 2022 trade deadline for August 2 at 6 PM. The new CBA gave him some flexibility to keep it July 31 or push it a few days into August. It'll be a yearly decision

Players can't sit out past the draft now that it has been pushed back a few weeks as well.

The Tigers announced this evening they’ve acquired outfielder Austin Meadows from the Rays for third baseman Isaac Paredes and a Competitive Balance Round B selection. Tampa Bay had reportedly been shopping Meadows in recent weeks, and he’ll land in Detroit.

If Meadows can stay healthy the Tigers got better but usually teams that trade with the Ray's lose those trades

That seems like a fantastic deal for the Tigers, but yeah the Rays are super smart, so maybe I’m missing something.

I like this trade. Meadows will only make 4 mil this year and he is not a FA until 2024. He has shown flashes where he can be a solid player. The Tigers have some real good young talent. They might be a team that surprises a lot of people this year.

MLB.com made their preseason predictions:

AL East:Jays
AL Central:White Sox
AL West:Astros
AL WC's: Yankees, Red Sox, Rays

NL East:The World Champs
NL Central: Brewers
NL West: Dodgers
NL WC's:Giants, Mets, Padres

AL Champ: Jays
NL Champ: Dodgers
WS Champ: Dodgers

I am actually ok w/these predictions, they are pretty realistic. But boy the national media can't stop sucking the Dodgers' d**k.

Dodgers overall roster has probably been the most talented or one of the most talented groups for 5 years running.
They have every right to keep those predictions coming when they boast that lineup and staff.

Braves have the better roster when you factor in the pitching staffs. Plus they beat them straight-up last year so that should be taken into account.
