It really is sad. They also had one of the best regional broadcast teams IMO (Brown and Deshaies) which got broken up because of this shitshow

you know, I've been laughing at the Astros for some time now, but I just feel bad for y'all now. this is much worse than I thought.

I mean, the braves have a shitty TV deal, but at least we can still watch the games.

Yep. It really is just sad. That organization has been drowning in incompetence for years.

frick these archaic blackout rules. Oh well. Instead of me giving my hard earned money to mlb to watch the stros, I'll just have to do it illegally now.

It's a complete disaster. It sucks for Jim Crane. Some people already hate him for whats perceived as him moving the team to the AL when really, Selig strong armed him as a condition of purchase. Then he's blamed for the TV situation which is really more of Drayton McClane's fault than his own. Drayton pretty much fricked us the last several years of his ownership.

Yup between this and sacrificing the future for "one last shot" aka several 75-80 win seasons he really fricked the organization over

strong arming houston into spending money and putting a more professional product on field

better players = more competitive = more attendance = blackouts lifted

Yup. Hated to see JD leave. I also don't see Brownie sticking around much longer. He already started taking some road series off last year where Ashby and Blum filled in for him.

my point still stands

MLB is not going to do Houston any favors until they start acting like they want to be an MLB franchise
