really is incredible, and I suspect anyone who tries it out, wont be able to go back to being a fan without it.

crystal clear HD at high frames on any device, any game you want with home/away broadcasters, then post game show (sometimes, depends on the market), DVR-esque features (resume playback), up to the minute standings and stats, etc etc

MLB has become the best run professional sports league out there. It may not have the audience it once had but it hasn't stopped them from delivering a good product.

Price is definitely an object but it's not the equipment. McCutchen wrote an article about it a few years ago, he wouldn't have made it if he wasn't essentially adopted by a coach.

I get that. Look at it from this perspective though:

Yes, they could do this, but most won't take the time and effort to go through all of that when they can easily just play a game of football or basketball. They probably won't even think to do that to begin with honestly. In Cuba and the DR they aren't exposed to basketball or football as much so they make the extra effort to play baseball. In America black youth are flooded with ads promoting basketball and football.
That's more to the point. But that has nothing to do with baseball being too expensive, that's an different argument altogether.

People who think baseball are dying are funny. Baseball is thriving currently. The issue baseball has is that they don't promote individual talents enough.

Kershaw, Trout, Harper, Machado, Altuve, Betts, etc should be pimped the frick out.

I played baseball all through highschool and even a little college and NEVER watched the MLB during that time. Now 4 years later I cant get enough of it. I mean it may have been the fact that I played it so much that it was the last thing I wanted to do when i was at home. But really I just think all the young incredible talent has me intriguied. Either way I'm enjoying the great product.

I think thats fine to be honest

The NBA went all in on marketing individuals instead of teams and its hurting the overall coverage of the product

Teams like the Utah Jazz get ignored despite being good.

The promo I saw all week for GSW-OKC wasn't marketed as GSW-OKC, it was marketed as Durant vs. Westbrook. The NBA has devolved into a dick measuring contest over who is the best offensive player in the league. Ignoring half of the game(defense)
