You're missing the point. The prestige of the school itself makes them a blue blood.

Give it up to the Big 10. First time since 1960 that the conference wins the national title in football and men’s basketball in the same academic year.

The game could have better if the refs had made up their mind if they wanted to call close or let them play.

They let Michigan play. They called it close on UConn.

Fouls 22-13 was simply too much to overcome against an already superior Michigan team. UConn got the game it wanted. They got a bad Michigan shooting game. They crushed them on the glass (43-36 and 20-10 on off boards).

UConn only shot 21/68 for the game. Needed to have a friendlier whistle to get themselves to the foul line and just never got it

I agree with the post game show commentary that Michigan's defense won the game. Astounding stats on how they held their last four opponents to season low shooting percentages.
