Why does Michigan make both teams use the same tunnel between the field and locker rooms? Its begging for conflicts like this. Th Big House is largest stadium in the country. Surely there is room for a second tunnel???

Michigan state also has one tunnel

Somehow no one got assaulted after last year's game

The idea that CFB players are such uncontrollable ogres that it is the stadiums fault for their behavior is laughable

These stadia were built when the players comported themselves as gentlemen.

The same tunnel is used by both teams. The locker rooms are across from each other.

But the Michigan team didn't go into the locker room. It was the Michigan State team going first, and just a couple of random Michigan players that went in at the same time.

It's not a fair question in terms of a reason why the 2 UM dudes were being swung at with helmets when they did not have helmets on, but in general, it's a fair question to at least ask or wonder why immediately after a skirmish occurred on the field did those 2 UM players go directly to the locker room when it was clearly only MSU players were in the locker room.

Getting beat on with a helmet would seem to cross a line somewhere.

Why does 1% of the US population hold nearly 80% of the high profile national reporting jobs?

To add insult to injury, another 7.5% of the US population holds about 18% of the remaining 20% of the national reporting jobs.

There's shite started in that tunnel all the time.

So, no problem with the incident from you?
It doesn't excuse being jumped by 5 dudes swinging helmets at you, but IF he went into the tunnel specifically for that reason, then he made a very dumb decision as he should have known the result wouldn't go over so well.

If you drive into a crime riddled neighborhood at 2am for no reason, if someone robs you they should be arrested and charge to the fullest extent, but that doesn't change the fact that you made a stupid decision and should have known bad shite could happen when you make bad decisions.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying he 100% did go to the locker room for that reason, I have no idea. Was just responding to the post insinuating that he did

So we’re agreed MSU players are certified criminals huh?

What’s that say about MSU and it’s athletic leadership if that’s the analogy you wanna use, chief?

Yes, this is mutually exclusive from the 2nd part.

What part of that are you having trouble understanding? It's rather obvious, so it's weird that you'd not be able to understand what I'm saying.

Do you think it's a good idea after a win to follow the other team in a room basically by yourself and start trash talking? Do you think something bad may happen if you do that, and maybe it's a dumb decision or do you think it's a pretty smart thing to do?

UM's stadium is far from the only one in the country with a single tunnel.

Almost like there's another constant besides the tunnel.

Please explain to me why I should care? I don't have time to be occupied or outraged by an incident or view that doesn't pertain directly to me.

Can you not grasp the idea that the things (like this) that are becoming more and more prevalent in society eventually will pertain to you?

I am serious. What’s the answer to the question?

A GROUP of MSU players decided to kick the shite out of one guy because they lost the game and he showed up. Did he talk some trash? Maybe, but that doesn’t mean he deserves what happened.

Flip the situation to one MSU player being trash talked by 20 Michigan players in the tunnel. He wouldn’t have done a damned thing.

It has. And from a legal liability point of view, who could not see something like this eventually happening? Michigan may have some liability also.

Answers have been given in multiple threads and across news stories.

A handful of Michigan players were heading straight to the trainer’s room to seek treatment for injuries.

Even so, when the game is over, players from both teams head to the locker room. It doesn’t matter why a couple of Michigan players were separated from the rest of their Wolverine teammates. Civility should dictate that someone should be able to access their own locker room without having backup.
