They wanted the Red Sox to see it and challenge it. It's all a setup for the rest of the season.

What if they know where all the Sox pitchers put it?

I'd hide it under the brim of my hat. They would never catch me.

They'll check that as soon as you start going to your hat. Seam of the pants, inside the belt, and maybe you'd get away with inside the glove.

Yes, cheating is cheating. But theres different degrees of cheating. Pine tar is not the same as a booksack full of needles

The best part was the producers (following shot after shot of the tar) cutting away to both GM boxes, with respective parties both having a "wtf are you kidding me?" thing going on. He might as well have lit a joint while he was at it.

Pineda could be in for a 10-game suspension as a result of the ejection.

Needs to be suspended same as drug use. It's all cheating.

Hitters don't want the pitchers out there having balls slip out of their hands and at their heads.

Lets just hope Farrell didn't piss off the hornets nest... thats all we need is our pitchers being checked every single game.

Yep, Lester and Buchholz would be rendered extremely ordinary.

Find the Yankees broadcast. The announcers start immediately saying how pine tar should be legal. "baseball should wants a better grip on the ball." Finally one says, "even so it's still illegal."
