No; a 10 part documentary about a team who won 6 titles in 8 years has just started. MJ happens to be the best player on that team, but there was a good bit about other stuff in the documentary.
Don't be naive. This could've been done years ago. This documentary was produced only because MJ signed off on it. They needed his permission, and thus far, it's a puff piece for him.

I'm loving the doc for the nostalgia, but it really has been a Jordan highlight package in a lot of ways. The worst thing so far has been his overcompetitiveness, but it isn't played as bad.
I mean for example, it struck me they didn't mention the conclusion of the Celtics series in 85-86. I looked, and the Bulls got swept at home with MJ shooting poorly on his way to only 19 points.
That doesn't diminish that going for 49 and 63 in Boston Garden is a big deal. It does sort of show that the doc really isn't dwelling on his struggles so far.
I would be interested in what struggling in an elimination game meant to MJ in his development as a young guy. Did it bring him back to earth after Games 1 and 2? Did it get him mad he had to play with Dave Corzine as his #2 scoring option? Did it fire him up for next year?

By all accounts it does get into a lot of Jordan's demons with frankness.
Bill Simmons got a pre-viewing of the entirety of the TLD doc series, and he said on his podcast last week that he was very surprised at how apparently nothing was off limits, and that there are several situations where Jordan isn't painted in the greatest light.
He's been openly critical of how most athlete documentaries where the subject is involved are basically infomercials for that person, but he said that wasn't totally the case with TLD.

Lebron will have his own documentary soon, but it won't be about winning 6 titles or being 6X MVP of the finals
Should be about why he choked all those times, dude's in his 17th season should have AT LEAST 5 rings by now

Maybe they're priming us for when the Bulls got swept AGAIN by the Celtics the very next year (despite that the 87 Celts were noticeably hurting) and the impact that had on how Reinsdorf/Krause constructed the Bulls team for the future, just preceded the 87 Draft. I'm sure getting swept by the greatest single-season team of all-time made an impression on 23-year-old Jordan and it translated to his statistically absurd 1987 season but FOR THE TEAM, meh.

Let’s use some stats to compare the quality of Finals opponents, shall we?
Lebron 100% shite the bed against Dallas in 2011. Which other series should he have won iyo?

I wonder how much of the gambling we get to see.

Maybe 2010 but he quit on his team in the conference semis despite his Cavs were the no. 1 seed for the entire playoffs. 2014, the Heat are 2x defending champs with Wade and Bosh flanking him and they achieve a 1-1 split going to Miami for 2 games and he chokes in game 3. 2015, his Cavs are leading 2-1 in a 2-2-1-1-1 format and 2 games in his house and he flat-out chokes in game 4 and gets outscored by Iggy then loses a duel to Steph in game 5 and proceeds to play inefficient basketball the rest of the way. Obviously his meltdown in game 1 2018 goes without saying.

Did you even look at the graphic?
Lebron played out of his mind against the Warriors in 2015 with Matthew Dellavedova as his second best player
51/8/8 on 60% shooting
You are insane lol

You think LeBron choked by averaging 36, 13 and 9 in a Finals series where the Cavs also started Dellavadova, JR, Thompson and Mozgov and they still extended the W's to six?

You didn't watch that series if you think the Heat were better than the Spurs.

The game where he scored 51 points?

That 51 point on 59% from the floor meltdown
Lebron is lucky to be a top 5 player tbh with those numbers.

It really is crazy how far some try to go to belittle him because of something he does off the court that hurts their feelings.
IMO Jordan> Lebron at the moment but you really lose all credibility to the discussion when you think Lebron isn't a top 5 player.

Those Cavs had the highest payroll in the league, did they not?

They were the 2x defending champs with LeBron on their team

He isn't I can make a good case he's outside of that

No you can't when placing the some standards on the other people in front of him. You give more of a feels over reals argument. You have already done that on the previous page by trying to spin a great game into a meltdown.
Jordan and Lebron are the clear 1 and 2
