There were some stats on this site a few days ago showing that Kobe is the "most clutch" in the league this season. I do not remember the specific criteria though.

FWIW, the title of this thread says "today", so I thought this current season would be an appropriate measure of being the best clutch player.

TexanPete posted the clutch stats from 82games after I pointed him in that direction. It's sorted by total points, which Kobe is leading. He's also taken the most shots though. There are other guys who are close to his point total with better efficiency.
And Melo isn't the best by their definition of clutch. He's been the best statistically on game winning or tying shot attempts.

This may be the only one I can remember being posted where someone tried to use it as proof that Kobe is #1:

On a per48 basis, Kobe is the leading scorer in the clutch. But that alone would obviously be a horrible rate clutchness.
