Where does his decision rank in the goat of goats coaching blunders?

Why isn't he getting more roasted for passing on a chance to tie the game only 8 yards away vs. hoping to stop a 1st ballot HOFer from getting 1 measly 1st down in today's league when 1st downs are easier to get than ever in the history of the league.

Oh, and if you do stop them and they punt now you have 80 yards and maybe a minute vs. 8 yards.

And if you did fail on the 4th down and you did get that stop at least they're pinned inside the 10 and you get great field position with the precious few seconds you have left.

A field goal was stupid because even if you make it you still have to score a TD. There’s not much difference in being down 5 or 8 other than a TD wins it and doesn’t just send it to OT.

If you didn’t score the Bucs probably don’t open up the playbook much on their own 8 up 8. You’ve got a better chance of getting the ball back in that scenario.

The field goal was meaningless

brady literally threw three picks in the 2nd half and people have been giving him a reach around all night so i think we should point that question in a different direction

The GM should be roasted. Drafting a backup QB in the first round within a Super Bowl window is stupid. Especially when that value best realized when they perform under the rookie contract. A WR or CB would have benefited the team more so this year than a first round clipboard holder.

A defender also let one right through his hands in the first half right before the touchdown to Miller.

Absolutely no way you kick the field goal there....none. I don't think his defense had earned enough trust to prevent a first down and even if they could the odds are still against you. I said as soon as he ran the FG unit out there it was asinine.

I thought the Buffalo HC was similarly clueless doing the same thing right before half, as if field goals were going to help against KC.

Yup, he was almost indistinguishable from a tampa bay receiver letting one right through his hands.
