they didnt bring kenseth in to mentor i dont think. need him to compete in big $ races until they can get a new full time driver is my guess.

The rumor is Advocare and Can Am are pushing for this to happen. Ryan Reed is the big question since he has Lilly's 1000% support.

I may 100% wrong, but I think DiBendeto is good driver and with good equipment can challenge top 10 and a win once every other year.

Might be the end of Trevor Bayne driving for any upper-level teams (of course, Roush hasn't been upper-level for a few years either).

Trevor was always good for providing late race cautions to make the last laps very entertaining. You could always count on him to do that.

Anybody who could put the 83 in a top10 at a non plate track has serious skill. I hope Burrito gets it.

Wow...wasn’t that long ago that Trevor won the Daytona 500.

In the "What Have You Done For Me Lately" file, you'll find he's done pretty much nothing since then. Sure him winning will go down as a huge upset and one of the coolest moments in the history of NASCAR - but his stats with Rousch rival Danica's...handful of top 10s and a ton of DNF. He hid in the bushes for a while because Roush has been in a slump for the last 5 years, but now that Ricky is running a lot better the light has been pointed at him and exposed those finishes in the 20's and 30's.

It was really a cool experience to see while it was happening. He's been holy fricking shite he just won the biggest race in NASCAR to average to mediocre to bad and that win (granted it's a huge deal to win the Daytona 500) has kept him a full time seat for much longer than it would usually. He needs to step aside and let someone else give it a shot. Hell, the new guy can't be much worse than he's been

How do so many people get major NASCAR names wrong so often?

It's Roush.
It's Hendrick, not Hendricks or Hendrix.
It's Childress, not Childers.

This is like the first good take you've had in months.

Go get you a beer.

Speaking of Burrito to Roush - here's his Darlington throwback for this year: Jeff Burton's 99 scheme from his Roush years. Lolz.

I've asked ths question in a few NASCAR threads but never really got a solid answer. Just what the heck happened to that team? They had five drivers in the first Chase and now I don't even remember the last time they had even one. (Mark Martin maybe; the year he finished second to Smoke?)

I was OK with Danica if not a fan. However, watching Almirola contend for top 10 week after week makes me realize she just wasn't good enough.

Roush used to win championships in Trans Am and IMSA GTO regularly, plus won their share of NASCAR events. Now, they're field-fillers.
