Earlier this year, Miller, the 56-year-old founder of No Limit Records and a former scholarship athlete at the University of Houston was appointed president of basketball operations at UNO. He took over a team that won just four games in 2024 and is looking to rebuild following the suspension of four players reportedly tied to an NCAA gambling investigation.

Miller is now focused on the future, bolstering the roster with new talent from as far as Sudan, including 6-foot-10 forward Churchill Abass, who transferred from Wake Forest. Abass is joined by fellow Sudanese recruit Mathok Mwhom, a towering 7-foot-4 center.

Hopefully they can get one of the new recruits to wear the gorilla outfit from his No Limit Record videos.

Any news on the UNO point shaving scandal from last season?

I'm hoping UNO can be competitive as it's good for the University and city when the Privateers are winning. Back in the day, Tim Floyd found his 6' 11" Center bagging groceries at A&P which turned into a successful 13-year NBA career.

That's a good story from Floyd.

Yep. I remember watching UNO play Louisiana Tech and Karl Malone at the Nat Kiefer Arena. I do believe it was a sellout. And they were also a fairly decent academic school at the time.
