I have a friend who is interested in sending his son to this camp. He is from out of state and knows nothing about it. I don't know a whole lot about it but was wondering if any of you did. What can ya'll tell me about it? Would it be worth his while?

definitely worth it...you get peyton, eli, archie, and other NFL QBs teaching him how to play....i'd say it's an alright deal

My son was a QB in high school. He went to Manning camp and a few others. The Manning camp was a waste imo unless your kid is a 4 or 5 star prospect. WAY too many kids. The Mannings arent around much. This is just basically a money-maker for Cooper. Id look at others JMO.

It must have changed then...

Not really. Been the same for at least 10 years
Nothing but a camp to show off if you are a prospect, or want to show that you are a prospect.
You don't really learn anything at all. The 3 that I've been involved in, Peyton was not there as a coach and neither was Eli. They were there, but only throwing passes to receivers in down time so the kids could say they caught a pass from Peyton
Tuberville when he was at auburn ran a very good camp thar actually had good instruction.
MPA just had "celebrity" coaches run their groups through games and obstacle courses. Not a whole lot of teaching going on

Little expensive, but overall a great experience for a kid.

Had a buddy who went, he said it really helped him. Didn't interact with the Mannings much, but there were so many good coaches from quarterbacks to coordinators that you were bound to learn something. If willing to pay could be very helpful.

I am sure there is some instruction. But how instruction do you really expect to get in 2 days with a bunch of kids there.
This is more about the experience than learning.

its a good camp, considering there are no good HS QB coaches these days.
they really can learn more from college QBs and other pro coaches and QBs that will be at the camp, even if its just the weekend

Great camp. The Mannings also represent the home city and LA very well.

How do you know this? Are you just assuming this, or this actual fact?

whats your connection to Cooper Manning? You seem obsessed with the family.

I went twice while in highschool. You may end up having them work with you but the chances are slim. You are put in groups of a 15 or so kids and you have a coach that you stick with the entire camp. One year i think i had Ben Leard from AU and it was a good experiance but it wasn't extemely helpful. There are too many kinds out there and not enough one on one IMO.
