When was the last time the raiders were relevant?

I'll hang up and listen

I'll just treat Manning's record like the majority of the tards did on the MSB did when Brees broke Marino's record.

not that big of deal.

today's nfl is pass happy.

blah blah football is a dying sport blah blah blah blah

so congrats horse face, no one gives a shite.

Oh, no! How dare me!

You wouldn't give a single frick if it was anyone outside of the NO Saints division. Instead, since it's the Carolina Panthers, you now how some ax to grind about it...

Denver Broncos are my #1 team, always have been. Carolina Panthers have been my #2 team since the John Fox days, and they now have my favorite player, Cam Newton. And it doesn't make it hard to cheer for them every week when you have to endure the terrible NO Saints fans on here (and let me acknowledge, not all are bad, some are really good). And when the Broncos and Panthers played last week, I was glad we kicked their arse, I just wanted Cam Newton to play good.

Relevance somehow takes away rivalries? Really?

Guess the Iron Bowl wasn't a rivalry in 2011 or 2012...

Difference is CFB>>>>>>>>>NFL in terms of rivalries

I'm sure you'll agree

Rivalry = Rivalry

Relevance has no bearing on it. Period.

The Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders have been hated rivals for how long? And you think them not being a good team somehow changes that? Did you think the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos weren't rivals last year, but were this year, because they put a good product on the field again? Come on...

The yardage record will very likely be broken again within the next 5 years anyway, probably by Drew Brees. So whether Peyton has the record or not, it is temporary. The touchdown record is more likely to last a little while.

So why was Brees still in the game if NFL rivalries don't really mean much?

Every NFL team has rivalries even if the teams are bad.

Dolphins and Jets hate each other. Doesn't matter that they both suck.

It's not like Manning had to play the entire game to try and break this record. He broke it by halftime and sat out the entire second half of the game
Drew Brees never sat out once when the saints were ahead in 2011 /s

Maybe but it's nothing compared to CFB/NCAAB

If both teams were 2-12 would they care(even the fans)? They'd want to just get to the draft/offseason.

The Saints fans have been whining about records all year.

The FG record, needs an asterisk by it.

If this pass happens in week one, is this thread still happening?

For some reason, some Saints fans hold this grudge against Peyton Manning for no apparent reason. The Saints beat him when they played them.

Enjoy the Saints being in the playoffs, enjoy having an elite HOF QB since 2006, but for the love of God, drop the petty shite.

So why did Saints fan bring up a hated rival as the reason he stayed in the game?
