Louisiana high school sports goes up to 50 percent attendace

for the 26 parishes under 5 percent positivity

“Breaking: @LouisianaGov will sign an order that allows high school sports to move to 50% capacity for fans (up from 25%) in parishes with lower percents of positive COVID tests.

Will be effective tomorrow, Friday, October 23.

The percent positivity for parishes has to be less than 5% for two weeks. Right now 26 parishes qualify to have their high school stadiums at 50% under the order @LouisianaGov will sign, effective tomorrow.

If they get back to 10% test positivity, the occupancy goes back to 25.

The 26 parishes where high school sports may have 50% fan attendance, up from 25%:

Assumption, Avoyelles, Catahoula, East Baton Rouge, East Feliciana, Evangeline, Grant, Iberia, Iberville, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Orleans, Rapides, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James

St. John the Baptist, St. Landry, St. Martin, St. Mary, St. Tammany, Terrebonne, Vermilion, West Feliciana and Winn parishes”
