ull is eligible and could be taken, but the I bowl and espn want a match up that someone outside the state might watch.
memphis, nc state are the likely candidates to play tech. i actually think tech and ull would produce a good crowd in the stadium, but definitley not appealing for tv.

"The bowls never want Sun Belt teams"

you mean they dont want a .500 team, who with a "bowl" bid on the line, draw a paid crowd of 15,000, despite free tickets being given away all over lafayette?
weird

I go to ULL, so now I will hear all day tom how surperior ULL is and how they are on LSU's level now.

Did you see the "crowd" at that game last night? Acadiana High gets more people in the stands than ULL.

Thank goodness there's not better SEC teams this year or we might of been playing them and watch Fenroy and Desormeaux go wild on our defense.

LSU still takes them by no less than 4 TDs.

Can you blame them? SB teams can't draw fans when they play at home. Why would they travel to see them in a bowl game?

Dude, let's be pessimistic for a little while. Picture this if you will, LSU and ULL enter the bowl they are playing against each other both at 7-5, now ULL beats us ... we'd all have to move there would be no living with the Ragin Cajuns

New Orleans Bowl

LINK

USM and ULL played earlier this year and I don't think the NOB wants a rematch:

USM won 51-21

With their win over Middle Tennessee State tonight. Thank goodness there's not better SEC teams this year or we might of been playing them and watch Fenroy and Desormeaux go wild on our defense.

You are kidding right ? They have 3 or 4 athletes on each side of the ball. Throw out coaching b/c they lack there also, but they would get destroyed by and SEC team. Their league is a joke and comparable to flag football.
