Oscar Gamble is hilarious because everything you read about him hypes his speed and he has 47 career SBs.

I've actually been doing this whole project with a friend of semi-humorous bios on random baseball players, most them entirely average or below. It's quite fun.

When Gant went to the Cardinals in '96, I remember thinking man, Gant and Lankford are gonna be the new Bash Brothers.

With Wetteland I went with the fact that he gets forgotten because of all the great closers in the last 2 decades. Plus he didn't have a super long career and he was only a 3x all-star, all late in his career.

this mother fricker was supposed to be my meal ticket! My uncle coached him and I had 50+ autographs from him.

My best friend in middle school went trick or treating as a Marty Cordova rookie card.

Though he played mostly in the 80s, I'll give Ivan a nod. He would have played a great bad guy in a Die Hard movie. He also threw me a ball during BP at Wrigley while he was with the Expos

Is it just me or is this essentially a "name random players of the 90s" thread? With that being said I'll go with delino deshields
