Listened to first half of new England vs Steelers using Sirius new England.

So whiney I changed to steeler play by play for 2nd half.

It was like being with friends. Both told the teams what to call next. Steelers guys told line How to rush.

I now appreciate the national tv guys more.

Fwiw I had Seattle v sf on tv.

Both announcers found fault with key pi calls. The one that kept Steelers drive alive apparently never even touched steeler but crowd yelled and late flag over nothing.
Should be able to review presumptuous b.s.

It's pretty much like this across the board now - commentators using "we" and "they" instead of a shred of objectivity. College football is the worst - Univ of Michigan commentator does this stupid "SACK TYYYYYYME" for every Michigan sack. Its atrocious.

Why should the be objective? They are being paid by the team.

Why would I want the local radio guy to be objective?

Yeah. They aren't trying to cater to the few neutral listeners.

That argument goes out the window because SiriusXM does syndication for nearly every team now. It sounds ridiculous when the announcers are basically cheerleading from the booth.

That doesn't matter. Their primary listener is still the locals.

Some of the NFL color guys are awful. Listen to the Bengals on Sirius, the color guy is hollering during the play. Patriots color guy is awful too, go listen to the last play of Super Bowl against the Falcons (28-3)

The cowboys guys are the worst. The play by play guy will literally stop talking during a play if it’s not in the cowboys favor. “Luck drops back to pass, steps up, throws, and good god..... just horrible defense there.” And you’re thinking “who caught it, how many yards, etc?” He’s so childish.

New England has very bad radio for their games.

Made me appreciate Jim for the Saints games

Brad Sham? I actually like him, but I guess I grew up with him. And yes, he does do that at moments. I don’t think it’s childish so much as brutally honest
