Very few of those are ignorant or stupid IMO. If I were black I'd view this different.
And this is the problem

Other than Roddy White, I don't see why people get so upset about people voicing different opinions. Agree to disagree if you will, but why do y'all continue to post the opinions of athletes like its some crazy logic to not agree with the verdict
I didn't watch the trial, so I don't know many facts of the case.

I can imagine. You have obvious race baiters on both sides and complete ignorance about the legal system every where.
People went into this case with preconceived notions of guilt or innocence, and they saw what they wanted to see. I have no problem with people giving out their opinion on the matter, and if society feels these people are role models, well that seems to be a huge social issue.

Because most are ignorant to the facts of the case and want to turn this into a dog fighting gets you more time than killing a black "kid" discussion. This case was flamed by the Media in a disgraceful way and pandered to the black community. The prosecution was a circus and did nothing to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that this was 2nd degree murder or manslaughter.
Is it sad that Martin lost his life? Yes. Did the jury make the right decision based on the evidence presented to them? Yes. The majority of the black community rather play the victim than look at this case, realizing facts and the judicial process, and make an unbiased decision. It really is an ignorant world we live in.

Yet I see head coaches blamed for their players failures, I see corners blamed for plays they weren't even the primary defender for, and I see preconceived notions that all NBA players are thugs. It goes both ways.

What are you talking about?

He was profiled...
Whether Zimmerman has a right to protect himself is another issue..
But it was racial profiling that ultimately led to the incident..

That ignorance is everywhere, and involved in everything. We are complaining about these athletes being ignorant of the law, but commenting on it. Which is wrong, but fans will also flood messaging boards, newspapers, and public air waves with ignorant statements regarding athletes.

Its not an issue. He has the right to protect himself.

One of these things involved the potential lost of freedom by an innocent guy and the other hurts the feelings of people with millions of dollars. Comparing the two is irresponsible.

Yes...thats another issue.. (worth someone twitter debating)
I'm talking about THE racial profiling issue that led to it. Yes he has a right to protect himself. But YES he racial profiled?
Agree?

Profiling isn't a crime
Of course GZ has the right to protect himself.
What ultimately led to the incident was TM attacking GZ. GZ wasn't standing in between Martin and the place he was staying. Case closed. It should have never gone to trial.

To an extent yes. Racial profiling isnt illegal though. What happen that night was unfortunate and probably could have been avoided by both parties. However, if you know the facts of the case and how it was presented by the prosection, then you shouldn't be outraged by the verdict.

I'm comparing the opinions of people, not the actual events. I've made my opinions on the case clear, but I don't feel like the MSB is the place to share that. I just think it's interesting we're saying these guys have terrible opinions, yet I hear pure ignorance all the time. People truly believe Cutler doesn't give a shite, and have no problem spouting off on the topic.

Ok i understand, but too many athletes are making it about race. That is the ignorance that bothers me. Also if you dont think Roddy White is the dumbest POS in professional sports then you are wrong. Saying that all 6 jury members should "go home and kill themselves" is something that a public figure should never say.

Thats all I'm saying..
He racial profiled. Something that obviously pissed off Martin. Martin then (according to what the law decided) attacked and beat the crap out GZ. GZ then did what he thought he needed to do in protecting himself.

Roddy White has never been accused of being incredibly brilliant.
Stupid people are going to say stupid things.
