jamb him, hit him, tackle him hard, etc. But the fade to a tall receiver is a killer against short corners.

There's the problem. If they're running slants and posts like you said, a LBer should frick them up on the slant and a safety on either. Also, the tall WR can't hurt you if his QB is on his back.

absolutely. mix-up your looks and coverages on D, blitz a lot, help over-the-top, even go with 5 DB's alternating them on blitzes...jamb the receivers, put taller DB's on them. Good High School coaches can do some things on D to help. Of course, if you can get 3-4 DB's at least 5' 10" with hops and 4.6 or better speed, you'll be just fine.

The linebackers are just as short and not as fast.
The overall secondary is just not talented and a good passing tesmlike Zachary is going to shred them
